Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF) is a forum constituted by the Electricity Distribution Licensee (KESCO) under Section 42(5) of the Electricity Act, 2003 and the UPERC (Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum) Regulations, 2022. It resolves consumer grievances related to electricity supply.
Any consumer dissatisfied with the decision of the consumer services department of the licensee, or where the licensee has not resolved the grievance within the stipulated time, can file a complaint with CGRF.
The fee for filing a complaint with CGRF is prescribed under the UPERC (CGRF) Regulations, 2022. Please refer to the fee schedule in the CGRF FAQ document or contact your nearest KESCO office.
You can track your complaint status online using your reference number on the "Online CGRF Complaint Status" page. You can also visit the CGRF office or contact KESCO at Helpline 1912.
As per UPERC regulations, CGRF is required to dispose of a complaint within 60 days of filing. However, for complex matters, this may be extended with appropriate reasons.
Yes. If a consumer is not satisfied with the CGRF's decision, they can file an appeal before the Electricity Ombudsman within 30 days of receiving the CGRF order.
